We look forward to seeing you onboard

Electra - Something totally different

New cruises for this month:

Half Day Ploughman’s Lunch and Red Lion Pub Lunch cruises to Fenny Stratford are on the menu, booking now for October and November. And Coffee & Cake morning cruises are back too.

Electra is the new, fully electric, accessible community canal boat for Milton Keynes, run by a dedicated team of volunteers from the Bedford & Milton Keynes Waterway Trust.

Step aboard Electra for a peaceful, relaxing cruise along the Grand Union Canal. Along the way you’ll discover a different side to Milton Keynes as you meander through the parklands and take in the waterside wildlife.

Operating from Campbell Wharf, Electra offers private charter and public themed cruises for up to 12 guests, across Milton Keynes and beyond. Public cruises range from coffee and cake to fish and chips, spotter challenges for the kids, and even walking adventures.

If you’re after a memorable place for your next business meeting or a great day out for your family, our private charters can meet your needs.

Most cruises depart from/return to our mooring at Campbell Wharf, at the end of Avebury Boulevard in Central Milton Keynes. There is a drop off point nearby and there are steps or a ramp to get down to the waterside. All parking is 10-15 minutes’ walk away. Check this map for details.

A few cruises depart from/return to Great Linford Manor Park, where there are two car parks. It’s a 5-10 minute walk from either car park to Electra’s waterside mooring. Check this map for details.

In school holidays, the Kids’ Cruise departs from/returns to the canal towpath at Bolbeck Park. Arrival instructions including map are emailed with your tickets.

For the school holiday Little Legs walks & cruises on Tuesdays and Thursdays you start at a car park Meeting Point where your walk leader will be ready to meet you. Arrival instructions are emailed with your tickets.

The Walk & Glide Weekend has eight different event options. You are sent the details of when and where to meet with your tickets. You can also download a copy here.
